The Rally Deutschland is the first new rally on the Calender since 2000 when Cyprus joined the world Rally Championship. The event is all-tarmac, with a kind of Catalunya feel but with smooth tarmac that will not destroy the tyres. The roads are tight and twisty with a fine layer of dust that will make the going slippery at times with the stages weaving along the Mosel River in Triger. Peugeot sport will be rolling out the E3 version of the 206 and the World Rally Championship is bracing itself for another 1 2 3 finish.
The drivers are looking forward to what looks to be a fantastic rally. Funny sausages, lots of beer and a bloody good blast along a river, does it get any better? |
