TOMMI WIN'S MONTE
Manufacturer: FIA Press Release Type: Post Event ReleaseThe Fédération Française du Sport Automobile has withdrawn on behalf of its licence holder Automobiles Citroën the appeal introduced against Stewards' decision number 1 of the 2002 Rallye Automobile de Monte Carlo (2 minute penalty imposed on car number 21 - S. Loeb / D. Elena - for infringement of service regulations).
The 2 minute penalty is therefore added to the time of car number 21 in the final classification.
Commenting, the president of the FIA, Max Mosley, said:
"At its meeting on 20 March, the World Motor Sport Council will consider whether the rules can be improved, so as to avoid in future a situation which brought satisfaction to no-one and diminished the sporting contest." Click here for a printable version of this news Item
